SERENDIPITY

My daughter and I just finished watching the movie called "SERENDIPITY". I am such a sucker for the romantic comedies. Heck, I guess you can say I'm just a hopeless romantic. For any of you who don't know what movie I'm talking about, it is the one with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. I think it is from back in 2001. It's been a few years but it was still a great movie to watch! The movie starts out with Jon and Sara meeting in a department store. They are both with other people at the time. They end up spending time together and then leaving it up to fate to bring them back together if it is meant to be. She writes her name and phone number in a book that she then sells to a used book store. He writes his name and phone number on a $5.00 bill which she then goes and spends. Years later when they are both about to get married to other people both Jon and Sara start thinking about that night long ago when they met and decide to try and find one another again. Right as they have both given up and decide they were not meant to be Jon's fiance gives him the book with Sara's name in it and Sara somehow ends up with her friend's wallet that has the $5.00 bill with Jon's name on it. He goes to Sara's house only to see who he thinks to be her with another man. She goes to his house to find he is about to get married. When she arrives at the hotel where the wedding is to take place she finds out it never happened. They both end up at the same ice skating rink where they skated the night they met. They look at each other and kiss for the first time. Awwww.....so sweet! So romantic! The plot of the movie is fate and everything happening for a reason. I am such a firm believer in that! Everything happens for a reason! So if you haven't seen this movie I apologize for ruining it for you. You should still watch it though! My writing about it in no way gives you the true romanticness of it!
