Too Much On Groceries
We went to the grocery store tonight to mainly get baby food. Well, almost $95.00 later we got home with our groceries. No, we did not spend $95.00 on baby food. We made it home with WAY more than just baby food obviously. That happens to us nearly every time we go to Hyvee. We spend too much money. Guess it's okay because we have to eat right? It's just crazy how we almost always end up bringing home more than what we intended to buy. There are always good sales and deals on things that you just CAN'T pass up. Like tonight, we got purple grapes for $1.00 a pound and Louis Kemp Lobster Delights for $1.00 a package. 12 packs of Snapple Tea were $1.99 with a coupon. Cucumbers were 2 for $1.00. Some of the name brand cereals were on sale too. See. Lots of great deals. You have to get them when you see them. It costs a fortune to eat anymore so when you can get something at a good price you do. Had we just stuck to what we went there for though we would have only spent about $30.00. I like to keep the cupboards stocked up so I was purchasing about 2 weeks worth of food for the little guy. He's all set for awhile now. The little guy has to eat too you know!

Stepmom
The other night my hubby was out of town again for work so my daughter was happy. Not because she doesn't want her daddy around but because she knows that when he is out of town we get to stay up late, sleep out in the living room, and watch movies. This little tradition of ours will end soon though when she starts school. This last time when he was gone we watched the movie Stepmom with Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, and Ed Harris. It is an older movie from 1998. Now if you have never seen this movie but plan to, do not read on as it will be spoiled for you. If you have seen this movie then you may continue reading! If you haven't seen it though I would recommend it. Be prepared to laugh and possibly cry because this movie has many happy, funny moments in it but also has quite a few sad scenes as well. It is about a man and woman who got divorced. The man has a new girlfriend in his life whom his children and ex-wife do not like at all. The girlfriend is played by Julia Roberts. She tries so hard to make it work with the kids but just isn't having any luck. The mom finds out she has cancer and needs treatments so the stepmom, as they refer to Julia Roberts as, starts having to do a lot more with the kids. By the end of the movie the whole family has accepted the dad's new girlfriend, whom he plans to marry, into their lives. My daughter enjoyed all the funny things the little boy in the movie did. As I was typing out this blog she was reading parts of it and reminding me about what the little boy had done in the movie. Julia Roberts, in my opinion, is a beautiful actress who does a wonderful job in all the movies that I can think of that I've seen her in.
Need To Pull Your Hair Back?
Do you need something to pull your hair back with? Well, if you do then you are in luck! Today my daughter and I spent a bit of time putting all the ponytail holders my mom had made into little bags to get them ready for craft shows we will be doing this fall. All together there were over 60 ponytail holders in various colors. Yes, mom made a lot! It is something new we are trying out. She was having a lot of fun making something different. Right now I only have a few listings of them in my shop but hope to get some added in the near future. You can see the ones listed already if you go here. As you can tell by the picture above though, we have many many more colors to be listed! Now who needs to pull their hair back?

Oreo Funstix
Last week we went to a cabin on the lake with my husband's parents. They have a really big pontoon boat. Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cool the first day so they didn't get to put the boat out on the water. The second day was still windy and chilly so again we were all stuck in the cabin for most of the day. Well, when hubby's parents get bored on their trips to the lake and can't find anything to do they usually end up going into the nearest town. This most of the time turns into a trip to Wal-mart. Yep, you guessed it. We went to Wal-mart while with them last week. Not once, but twice! On the first trip to Wal-mart I saw an end cap with Oreo Funstix on them. I decided to buy a box of the chocolate ones to see how they tasted. Ummm...yep, they were good! On our second trip to the good ol' Wal-mart I bought the golden ones. Yep, you guessed it! They were good too! If I had to choose I think I would probably pick the chocolate ones over the golden ones though but I would definitely buy both kinds again. If you don't know what Oreo Funstix are you can go here to see! And that my dear blog readers is your try it before you buy it for today!

House Rules Of A 5 Year Old
On most days my daughter will say something funny, cute, or clever for being a 5 year old and I think, "I should blog about that." I hardly ever do however because I usually can't remember exactly what she says or all of what she says. So today when she started saying something I wanted to blog I decided to write it down so I wouldn't forget what she said. Today there was a rerun of an old episode of The Cosby Show on tv. I didn't pay too much attention to it but I think part of the episode dealt with the little girl named Olivia talking about how things would be when she was all grown up. Well, apparently my 5 year old daughter was paying attention to part of the episode. This afternoon she started to tell me what the "house rules" would be when she was older.
Rule #1: Always eat on the couch. (I think this comes from the fact that I am always telling her to take her food to the table to eat and not sit on my couch with it.)
Rule #2: Always stay up late watching movies. (I think this comes from the fact that sometimes at night when she is watching a movie we make her turn it off to go to bed. She doesn't always like to.)
Rule #3: Watch tv all day. (I think this one comes from the fact that we don't let her watch tv all the time even though I think she would love too most of the time.)
Rule #4: Crochet in the middle of the night. ( I think she made this one up because I had all my crochet things out and she saw them.)
Rule #5: Go to bed when done watching movies. (Again this one I think stems from having to turn off a movie for night night time.)
Rule #6: Count something like flowers. (At this point I think she was just starting to make up things just to add to the list.)
And those my friends are the "house rules" from a 5 year old. Now who wants to live in that house?

Not Good News
If you don't know already from reading some of my blogs from June, one of my best friend's mom has cancer. They found out just over a month ago. Today my friend called. Her mom had a scan last week to see how radiation was going and to see if the cancer had spread. Her brother took their mom to her doctor's appointment today to get the results of the scan and unfortunately the news they received today was not good. Not good at all. They told her that the cancer had spread to her liver and her esophagus. They have given her 3-4 months to live. The doctor told her at this point they don't even think chemo would help so she has decided to stop all treatments including the radiation she was taking. She doesn't want to get sick from treatments if they aren't going to help. I can't say that I blame her. My heart is breaking for my friend and all my thoughts are with her right now. I cannot even begin to imagine how she must feel right now or what she must be thinking. I know this has got to be so hard for her. They just found out the news today and her mom is wanting to get all the legal things in order like getting the house in my friend's name. Things like that. My friend doesn't want to think about all that stuff right now. Not today. She knows she will have to do it soon though. It's just so awful. She knows I'm here if she needs me for anything. All she needs to do is call and I'll do what I can. Any prayers that can be said to help my friend and her family get through this are greatly appreciated. Also any prayers for her mom to not have any pain during her last few months are appreciated as well. Thanks!

Hot Pocket Paninis
So maybe it's just me but I didn't care for the Hot Pocket Paninis. I'd seen them in the frozen section at the grocery store a few times and thought they looked so good in the pictures on the box. I just couldn't bring myself to buy them because to me they are a bit pricey. Well, the other day I had a coupon so I decided to splurge a bit and bought two different boxes. One was the ham and swiss cheese one and the other was the steak and cheddar one. Today I made the ham and swiss cheese one which I had bought for myself. I, however did not realize it was made with rye bread dough so I did not like it at all as I do not like rye bread. Hubby ended up eating this one and I made the steak and cheddar one which I had initially bought for him. Ummm...it wasn't very good either. Needless to say, we ate them as to not completely waste our money but I will not be puchasing them again in the future even if I have a coupon. I just don't think they were worth it for the price that you have to pay for them. And that my friends is your try it before you buy it for today!

Helping Out My Grandparents
For awhile now grandpa's back has been hurting him and his hips as well I think. Their medical insurance made him have a physical a few weeks back since he hadn't had one yet this year. One of the things the doctor had him do was to have a bone density test. The results showed that he has the onset of osteoporosis. I believe they have him on Calcium tablets and Vitamin D tablets. He also had what I think was called a Reclast Infusion just a few days ago. We're hoping it will help. Last week he was having a really hard time getting around. I think it was especially tough in the morning when he got up. Grandma said that some mornings he had a hard time just getting out of bed. He was in so much pain last Saturday that he didn't even want to get out so he skipped our summer party but had grandma get out the walker for him before she came over for a bit with one of my aunts. If you know my grandpa then you would know that he HAD to have been in pain and discomfort to ask for the walker. My grandpa is a very stubborn man who likes to do things for himself. He hates to have help and will hardly ever ask for it unless he has to. His mother was a very stubborn woman as well and I think his dad was too. This is probably where I have inherited my stubborness from. So with grandpa not doing well, one of my aunts went to their house a few days ago and picked the green beans in their garden for them and today their yard got mowed. They have two lots. Grandpa usually does all of it on the riding lawn mower except for around the edges which grandma usually does with the push mower. I arranged for my husband, myself, one of my cousins, one of my brothers, and one of my brother's friends to all take care of their yard for them. My brother did the weed eating part and the rest of us pushed mowed the yard. We were done in no time. Grandpa didn't really want us to mow the yard but I insisted he let us do it at least this one time then if he feels better by the time it needs mowed again he can go back to doing it. He finally caved and grandma said he told her something like, "Okay, I'll let them mow it this one time." He insisted on feeding us lunch though afterward which was unneccesary but still very good. Grandma got some lunch meat for sandwiches and some chips. It felt good to help them out and I wish they would just let us younger folks take care of the yard from now on but I know they won't. Oh well, we helped them out today and I think they really did appreciate it.

Breakfast In Bed
So I have the most wonderful hubby in the world! This morning the baby woke up early. I think it was around 6:30am or so. I got up and fed him a bottle then rocked him back to sleep. Not sure what time he woke back up but my hubby got up with him. Next thing you know you could smell food cooking. Not long after that hubby brought me a plate into the bedroom and served me breakfast in bed. On my plate were two fried eggs, two slices of turkey bacon, and two slices of buttered toast. It was so good! I cleaned my plate! Hmmm....think I'll keep him around!

Pizza Shoppe
Mmmmmm mmmmmm good! I just love the big salads you can get from Pizza Shoppe. They come with chopped ham, black olives, mozzarella cheese, imitation bacos, and salad dressing. I always get the "pink stuff" salad dressing and lots of it! You can now buy the "pink stuff" salad dressing at the grocery store and make your own salads at home but it just doesn't taste quite as good for some reason. Well, tomorrow I will be having one of these wonderful salads for lunch thanks to one of my friends. She is bringing a big ol' sausage pizza (which also tastes amazing by the way) and salads for lunch. I cannot wait! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! *licking my lips* Is it lunchtime on Friday yet?
Formula Deal
So today the hubby wanted to go to Target to get some contact solution. They have a good brand for a reasonable price that he likes better than any other he's tried. While we were there we walked past an end cap of clearance items. On one of the shelves was the kind of baby formula we use for our son. It wasn't just the regular sized cans either. They were the extra large cans that also had the additional 20% more in them. They normally cost $23.99 each and we got them for $16.78 each. That is a savings of $7.21 a can! What a savings! We picked up 6 cans of it for that price! It's not like it will go to waste. The baby has to eat and now he will!

We Splurged
Holy moly do I have some blogging to do to catch up. For now I'll just leave you with what we had for supper tonight. We went to a restaurant called Logan's Roadhouse. I think the first time we ate there was when we went to Tennessee to pick up some car parts hubby was buying. We have one near our house now so not nearly as far to go to eat there. Yay! They have pretty good food and drinks. We started off with an appetizer that had fried mushrooms, onion petals, and loaded potato skins on it. We dipped it all in Ranch dressing. Oh so yummy! Hubby had a Buffalo Chicken sandwich with fries. I had shrimp, zucchini, and red onion grilled skewers with rice pilaf and a House Salad with lots of Ranch dressing. Our daughter had a corn dog and macaroni and cheese. She of course also snagged a few of my pieces of shrimp too. There were also dinner rolls with butter that came before our plates as well. We may have splurged a bit on the meal especially since hubby and I each had a drink with ours too but we all left full. That is for sure!

Summer Party
We had our summer party yesterday late afternoon. It lasted well into the night. It was a blast! There were a total of 49 people here throughout the evening. What a turnout! That is 6 more people than the last time we had a summer party 2 years ago. We had a ton of food to eat! Grilled hamburgers with all the fixins'. Grilled hot dogs. Homemade potato salad, cottage cheese, baked beans, lil smokies in barbecue sauce, and cheese dip with chips. We also had a veggie tray with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, Swiss Cheese slices, pickle spears, and cherry tomotoes on it with a Ranch dip to smother them in. Mmmmm mmmmm good! Oh, and don't forget the fresh fruit! There were strawberries, watermelon, and canteloupe. We had some baby dill pickles too and also some potato chips to dip in the Ranch dip as well. My dad even brought some deer meat and one of my brothers brought a chocolate chip cookie cake. Oh so yummy! With all the food I don't think anyone should have left hungry! After everyone had stuffed their faces we played a lot of games and the winners got to draw a number that matched up to one of the prizes on the table. Overall I think everyone who came enjoyed themselves. We hope to do this every other summer. It really is so fun to get everyone together! Only now I have to clean up after it. Uugghh.....

Getting Ready
So, yeah, I know I'm still a day behind on blogging. One of these days I'll catch it up. Today isn't that day though. This past week we have been busy cleaning, organizing, and getting everything ready for our summer party. There is a lot that goes into making it a success. We're having food, fun, music, games, prizes, a raffle, a silent auction, and more! It is going to be a blast! It takes so much time and effort to get it all set up though. Boy, am I getting tired but I know it will all be worth it when we see how much fun everyone will be having! Two summers ago we had a summer party and I believe we had about 43 people. This year we are expecting more than that if everyone who RSVP'd shows up. Yikes! One of my cousins is very excited about the party and so is one of my best friends. She and I have been counting down the days, hours, and minutes. Is it party time yet?

SERENDIPITY
My daughter and I just finished watching the movie called "SERENDIPITY". I am such a sucker for the romantic comedies. Heck, I guess you can say I'm just a hopeless romantic. For any of you who don't know what movie I'm talking about, it is the one with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. I think it is from back in 2001. It's been a few years but it was still a great movie to watch! The movie starts out with Jon and Sara meeting in a department store. They are both with other people at the time. They end up spending time together and then leaving it up to fate to bring them back together if it is meant to be. She writes her name and phone number in a book that she then sells to a used book store. He writes his name and phone number on a $5.00 bill which she then goes and spends. Years later when they are both about to get married to other people both Jon and Sara start thinking about that night long ago when they met and decide to try and find one another again. Right as they have both given up and decide they were not meant to be Jon's fiance gives him the book with Sara's name in it and Sara somehow ends up with her friend's wallet that has the $5.00 bill with Jon's name on it. He goes to Sara's house only to see who he thinks to be her with another man. She goes to his house to find he is about to get married. When she arrives at the hotel where the wedding is to take place she finds out it never happened. They both end up at the same ice skating rink where they skated the night they met. They look at each other and kiss for the first time. Awwww.....so sweet! So romantic! The plot of the movie is fate and everything happening for a reason. I am such a firm believer in that! Everything happens for a reason! So if you haven't seen this movie I apologize for ruining it for you. You should still watch it though! My writing about it in no way gives you the true romanticness of it!

Unexpected Company
So I was feeding the baby this morning and as I was sitting there I realized I was still a day behind on my blogging. Oops! So I was trying to think of what I could write about for all you fine people to read. After looking at what I was wearing and thinking what I must look like I came up with the idea to write about unexpected company dropping by. You should have seen what I had on. I was barefoot and in a pajama top that didn't match the flannel pajama pants I had on that were rolled up like shorts. Hey, it was warm in here! I had no make-up on and my hair was just pulled back in a ponytail without being brushed. My hair didn't look as if I'd stuck my finger in a light socket but it wasn't a pretty do either. Yep, I was a sight to see! I'm so glad no one decided to ring my doorbell or knock on my front door before I was able to shower. Even now I am not the most pleasant thing to look at. I have my famous beer pong t-shirt on with a pair of non-matching shorts but at least I am clean, out of my pajamas now, and dressed. I don't plan to go anywhere today as I have party planning and cleaning to do for this weekend! My hair has been washed and combed up into a bun. Oh, and I've even brushed my teeth and put on deodorant. Definitely better than a few hours ago! I won't be quite so embarrassed if someone came over unexpected now!

Cleaning...Uggghh!
Okay folks. I didn't feel like blogging last night because I was a bit worn out. We are planning a BIG summer party this coming Saturday and have a lot of cleaning to do to get ready for it. Last night we got the garage organized a bit better. Got it swept and mopped with bleach water too. It is a lot better out there than it was. I also worked out in the backyard too. I cleaned off part of the patio and washed up a lot of my daughter's outside toys. Yes, they are outside toys and I'm sure will be getting dirty all over again but they still did need a good washing. The garage is good to go for Saturday but the backyard still has a few things left to do. Hubby has some car parts he'll have to move. I didn't have the muscles to do so! I also want to get some new sand for my daughter's sandbox and I need to clean up all the toys that are in the sandbox too. I should have done it last night with all the others but I didn't. Oh well. There are just a few other minor things to pick up and then the backyard will be good to go too. Hubby will probably mow the grass Friday night so it will look nice. I'm so excited for the party! Just such a pain to have to clean everything up first especially because I know I will be cleaning everything again after the party is over. Oh well! It will be worth it!

Birthday Parties
Today we were busy all day long celebrating birthdays. We got up, had breakfast, got everyone ready, and somewhere in between there I also made a chicken and rice casserole to take with us. First place we went was one of my aunt's house. There we were celebrating my grandma's 75th birthday. It was a surprise party. I don't think she realized the party was for her until they were about there and even then I think she said she thought it was a party for her and grandpa's anniversary which is also this month. It was a great party with lots and lots of family and friends there to help her celebrate her birthday. She really enjoyed it which we knew she would. She loves to get together and visit with everyone. This is the party that my casserole was for. My aunts, my mom, and a few others who were there all made different food dishes for all to eat. All the food was really tasty! Mmmm mmmm good! My aunts also got a cake made with a picture of my grandma on it from when she was in high school. So long ago! After we finished there we were off to one of my best friend's house to help her daughter celebrate her 9th birthday. These kids have got to stop getting older. It makes me get older too and I don't want to! There they had some barbequed hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats. I didn't eat there but the hubby did. He usually does not miss out on an opportunity to have barbeque. He loves it! The kids hit at a pinata and got loads of candy that I'm sure none of them needed! There was also a cotton candy machine and chocolate chip cookie cakes to add to the sugar buzz! It was a great day today to see so many friends and family. Some who we have seen recently and some who we haven't seen in quite awhile.

Mosquitos
Along with the nice warm weather comes the rotton ol' mosquitos. They just seem to be so overwhelming around our house especially in the back yard. You can't go out there without one of the little buggers trying to taste you! They seem to really love my little girl! She must taste extra sweet to them! We have to put bug spray on her now before she can play outside. We have a bug zapper out there now and I think we are going to get some candles and some yard spray. Hoping it will help. If anyone knows of anything good that works please let me know! At this point I'm willing to try just about anything!
My Friday
Well my friends, my Friday was yet another day when after getting through my day I just did not have the motivation to blog. After running errands, taking care of the kids, straightening up the house, and getting things ready for a craft show, I was tuckered out. So of course that meant you didn't have anything to read but today you will get double to read! Lucky you!

My First Featured Etsian!
Today I have decided to feature a fellow Etsian. I have no plans to necessarily do this on a regular basis but do from time to time hope to shine the spotlight on some of the wonderful shops I have met on Etsy. Some time back I put an Alchemy request in for some rainbow soaps that I could pair up with some of my rainbow face scrubbies I make. I was able to take some pictures today and get a listing up in my shop. So my first featured Etsian is RuthsFunShop.etsy.com I was able to chat with her via convo and get to know her just a little bit. She seems to be a super nice woman with some wonderful items in her shop. She made me some great little rainbow popsicle soaps and also some adorable little baby powder scented duck soaps. The picture is the rainbow soap she made me that is scented with a scrumptious strawberry scent. The soaps came to me well packaged in nice little bags tied with ribbon. You can see her wonderful soap paired up with my face scrubbies in my shop here. They just look great together don't they? Be sure to stop in her shop and check out all her listings! She's got some great ones! Now go look!

What's That Scent?
Mmmmm.....can you smell that? Hubby decided to make a late night snack tonight. The house was filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh baked blueberry muffins! A warm, fresh out of the oven blueberry muffin smothered in butter. Yummy! Doesn't that sound so good? I've had one already and am thinking of going to have another. Betcha want one now don't ya?
So Tired
*BIG yawns* Hello my dear blog readers! This is your fill of reading for Tuesday. A bit late but here for your reading eyes none the less! I didn't get a blog written yesterday because, well, just because I didn't. By the time bedtime was nearing I was just so tired I didn't feel like typing, plus I didn't really know what I wanted to blog about anyway. Sooo...I'm catching up now. I'm still very tired. Not sure why. Think it might be because both of my kids have decided they like to get up earlier in the mornings now the past few days. They've even been getting up sometimes before daddy's alarm goes off for him to get up to get ready for work. Little early birds need to cut that stuff out! Can you tell I've become spoiled to sleeping a tad bit later? Oh well, I'm sure I'll get used to it and our routine was going to change anyway here in just over a month when my daughter starts school. This way we'll be ready for the earlier morning schedule. Well, I'm off to find some breakfast and hope it will help wake me up. I'd love to just nap but there is alas just too much to do! Nothing gets done when I'm sleeping!

Too Much Information
So some may think this is a too much information blog but I'm posting it anyway because I found it funny! Some of the things that kids can say just makes me laugh! Here's what happened. Hubby was laying on the floor next to the baby playing with his toys on his blanket. I was sitting on the couch crocheting and we were also watching a rerun of CSI Miami. My daughter had gone to the bathroom. Next thing we hear is her hollering for daddy. We kept saying, "What do you want?" She wouldn't say. She just wanted daddy to come in there. Finally we got her to answer our question. Her answer was something like, "Because there is a big turd that is green and brown." LOL! I'm so glad she wanted daddy to help! I was the one who ended up going in there though and even then "big turds" are apparently daddy's department because she still thought he should help her not me. I told her daddy had baby and I helped her. Most of the time she takes care of this by herself but sometimes she still needs a bit of help. It was just hilarious to hear her yell that from the bathroom. Maybe you find it funny, maybe you don't. Guess you just had to be here to hear her!

Homemade Salsa
Mmmmmm......homemade salsa is so tasty! Yummy to my tummy! Tonight I finally got around to making some homemade salsa that I had bought the fresh tomatoes and fresh jalapeno for a few days ago. It is so good when it is done but very time consuming to make. Just tastes so much better when you chop everything up really small instead of having big ol' chunks. My daughter was watching me cut it all up. She kept telling me I was a good slicer. She was anxiously waiting for me to finish so she could put the seasonings on and stir it. Ingredients in my homemade salsa are one small onion (white or yellow), three medium sized tomatoes, one small jalapeno, and salt, pepper, and garlic powder. There isn't really a measurement for the seasonings. Just add to your own personal taste. Grab a bag of tortilla chips and you are ready for a great snack! Hubby and I both had a small bowl of it. My daughter just likes to dip the chips in the juice. She doesn't like the chunky part of it. She just doesn't know what she is missing!

Happy 4th Of July!
Kaboom! Slurp! Eat! Kaboom! Slurp! Eat! That is what my night consisted of. We had a house full tonight. My mom, her boyfriend, my dad, his wife, my grandparents, one of my brothers and his friend along with my family of four were here hanging out. You could hear fireworks going off all around and still can. We had a bbq and some drinks. Hmmm...let's see. What didn't we grill? We had some smoked turkey breast, some brats (sweet ones and spicy ones), hamburgers, and some pork chops. We were going to have hot dogs too but hubby forgot to grill them. Ooops! Oh well. Not like we didn't have enough already! Mom also made some potato salad and brought some cut up fresh bell peppers. Think there was red, green, and orange ones. Those went well with the ranch dip and french onion dip I had for the chips. My dad brought a big ol' tub of cottage cheese. My daughter LOVES cottage cheese! She'd probably eat it everyday if we had it! My grandma made this famous peach orange salad that she makes for nearly every gathering. It is so good! Hmmm...guess that is all the food. For drinks there was beer, calypso coolers, and bahama mamas. They were oh so tasty except the beer! I don't like beer much anymore. I prefer the more girly fruity drinks. I think I had 5 of them tonight! Hehehe! So did mom and she has to work in the morning! I don't! I hope to sleep in a bit if the kids will let me. Soooo.....that was my evening. We have SO many leftovers too. Anyone hungry?

Whew....I'm Tired!
I spent most of today cleaning and organizing my basement. Trying to get it so we can at least use the pool table tomorrow night when we have company but also need to do a complete clean/organize too for an upcoming summer party we are having. I took a few breaks here and there but for the most part was downstairs nearly all day. I ache almost all over. Moving things around and sweeping then mopping can really get to your back! Now I need a massage! I'm tired now! I should sleep good as long as neither of my kids decide to wake up in the middle of the night which has been known to happen especially when I am super tired or have to get up early the next morning. Let's hope they sleep all night!

Automatic Flushing Toilets
Okay, so the purpose of automatic flushing toilets is what? If it is to be more sanitary then I just don't see it! Tonight we were at Home Depot and my daughter had to use the restroom. We got in there and got her sat down and before she was even done the stupid toilet flushed on its own. How gross! Some of the toilets in public places with the automatic flushing have the water pressure set so high that it splashes water everywhere when it flushes. How nasty is that to have it splashing up on your rear while you are trying to use the bathroom? So tonight my poor 5 year old little girl is trying to do her business and doesn't even barely get started when swooosh, the toilet decides for her that it wants to flush! Yuck! Yuck! And Double Yuck! Can you tell I am grossed out? She obviously got a bath tonight! So, back to my point of this blog. Automatic flushing toilets are NOT and I repeat NOT very sanitary! If anything they are more unsanitary and spread even more germs. Okay, now you have my opinion. Tell me what you think!

Eight Legged Creatures
Where is your blog reading material for Tuesday you ask? Well, here it is! Better late than not at all right? I know. You would have rather had it yesterday right? Since it's late that just means you get two once again today! Last night in the middle of the night the baby cried out which woke me up. He then went back to sleep without me having to rock him. Yay! But of course I was then awake and needed to use the bathroom. Got in there and happened to look up at the ceiling to see a huge eight legged creature! Yep, a spider! Eeeek! I am so scared of spiders! I have the worst arachnophobia ever! I think it stems back to when I was in grade school. Second grade I think it was. My class was in a room watching a film and I thought my friend was tickling my elbow. It ended up being a spider that bit me. A spider that my teacher decided to catch and put in a jar for show and tell! Soooooo.......since I am scared of spiders especially BIG spiders like the one hanging out on my bathroom ceiling last night you can bet that I wasn't going to kill it. Only time I will kill a spider is if it is pretty small and/or in an easy place that I know I will not miss OR I am the only one around. If there is someone else to kill it for me you can count on me getting them! So this meant that my poor hubby had to get up in the middle of the night to kill a spider. Poor guy! I went back into our room and he was kind of awake from when the baby had cried out. I told him there was a huge spider in on the bathroom ceiling so he got up all sleepy and went in there. He had to wait for his eyes to adjust to the light. I think he had to debate on how to reach it without missing. He ended up using the fly swatter. He got it though. Thank goodness! It is kind of like the baby crying was meant to happen in order for us to be able to find that big spider on the ceiling. I'm a firm FIRM believer in the saying "everything happens for a reason!" Now some of you may think I'm crazy for being scared of spiders like I am but I just can't help it! I think each of us has at least one fear of something and spiders just happens to be one of mine.
