Baby drool, baby boogers, baby poop, oh my! Yep, with an almost 11 month old you get a little of all three of those things quite often. Well, tonight I had my fair share of all three in a very short amount of time.
Let's start with the baby drool. My son got some on my leg and then proceeded to play with it and smear it all over. Bet you are probably smiling now aren't you?
Moving on to baby boogers. I'm sitting on the couch eating some Cow Tracks ice cream. Mmmm mmmm good! It is vanilla ice cream with little pieces of chocolate, caramel filled chocolate cows, and the liquid caramel topping. I had just been holding my son prior to this. I look at my shoulder and see what I thought was a little piece of chocolate that I had some how missed my mouth with. Ummmm....nope! Wasn't chocolate! Yep, you're right! It was a booger! Good thing I didn't just put it in my mouth thinking it was chocolate. That would have been nasty! Bet you are probably laughing now aren't you?
And last but not least is baby poop. I was holding my son and smelled poop. Checked his diaper and sure enough he was dirty. Not just dirty but really dirty with it coming out the sides of the diaper and all. Ever notice how they always seem to wait until AFTER their bath to do their business? I took him into the bedroom to change him. As soon as I layed him down I looked at my arm. Yep, you guessed it. It had baby poop on it. Ewwwww! Got to love hubby! While he changed the diaper I went in and washed my arms. I felt like a surgeon getting ready to operate. I could only see and feel that one arm was dirty but I lathered up both arms to my elbows with soap just to be on the safe side. Bet you are kind of grossed out now aren't you?
Even after all the baby drool, baby boogers, and baby poop tonight I still wouldn't trade my little boy in for anything! It is all a bit gross at times but definitely less gross when it is your own child and not someone else's.
