I generally don't make a New Year's resolution but this year I have decided to make not one but two. One benefits others and one is just for fun for me.
My resolution that benefits others is actually one my daughter is going to help me with. Between the two of us, we are going to try and make a new treasury on Etsy promoting others every day for the WHOLE year of 2012. You can see the first one, which I made here. From that page you'll be able to click on the link to see future treasuries we make because I don't know for sure if I'll be posting the link to my blog every day because..........
My resolution that is just for fun for me is to post a new blog every day for the WHOLE year of 2012. I hope to post something that you will enjoy reading. On occasion I may "cheat" and just post a link to a treasury my daughter or I have made but for the most part I hope to post my thoughts, ideas, and funny things that happen in life. Having a hubby, two kids, and a dog, there is bound to be something fun to post about at different times!
I may even begin featuring fellow Etsy shops from time to time. I just enjoy blogging whether it be featuring someone, sharing a forwarded e-mail I receive, or posting something about my own life. I use to blog frequently and just got so busy that blogging got put in the corner. Well, I've pulled it out of the corner and blown off the dust so get yourselves ready for some reading!

Polka-Dot Can Koozie
My daughter just picked up the latest thing I have been crocheting on tonight and asked me what it was. I told her it was a watermelon can koozie.
She then had the idea of making a polka-dot can koozie. I told her that I could probably do that. She then said, "I'm a genius." Meaning she was a genius not me. It was pretty cute so I decided to blog about it.
So.......be on the look out in my Etsy shop for a polka-dot can koozie. I'm going to let her pick the color for it too since it was her idea after all.

Hawaiian Summer Splash Bash 2011
Every other summer we have a summer party and call it a Hawaiian Summer Splash Bash with the year after it. Well, this year was the third time we had one.
The first one took place in 2007 and we had 43 attend. The second time was in 2009 and we had 49 attend. Yesterday was our third one and we had a HUGE turnout! There we 68 in attendance! Yes, you read that right! 68! Wow! That's a whole lotta people!
We had so much fun! We supplied all the food which was pretty much your basics for a bbq. We also had some fun games to play but the main event was a home made version of The Price Is Right. We even had a big wheel that was nearly 5 feet wide! It was great! We're saving the big wheel to use next time we have a summer party. Way too much time and effort was put forth in making it to only use it once.
Today we had to deal with the aftermath of all those people being here but overall there really wasn't TOO bad of a mess to clean up. My mother-in-law had cleaned the kitchen up for us last night which was absolutely WONDERFUL of her. That saved us SO much work today because there was a lot to clean in the kitchen.
Tomorrow I plan to spend my day relaxing and hanging around the house in my pj's. My feet and back are sore from doing a lot of walking and standing around yesterday. I need a day to just do a whole lotta sitting so me and my crochet hook are gonna hang out together on the couch tomorrow. :-)
